Our Team

Ted Meredith: Owner & President

Ted has been a key player in the mobile home industry since he was just 17—though he’d never admit it that was 44 years ago! From an early age, he was driven by a relentless desire to learn and improve, a mindset that laid the groundwork for his future success.

In the early years of his career, Ted dedicated himself to becoming the best driver he could be. During his free time, he immersed himself in understanding trucks and their mechanics, eventually customizing his own vehicle to meet his unique needs. This passion for hands-on work led him to modify and enhance not only his truck but also those of family and friends.

This journey inspired him to launch Champion Truck Conversions, a business he officially started in 2019. Since its inception, Champion has flourished, reflecting Ted’s unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry.

LeAnn Meredith: Owner, VP, & Office Manager

LeAnn has been an invaluable partner to Ted since the early days of their business journey. Today, she serves as a co-owner and office manager for both Champion Truck Conversions and Champion Mobile Transport.

With her warm smile and infectious positivity, LeAnn has a remarkable ability to brighten anyone’s day. Her hard work and dedication are the driving forces behind the seamless operations of their businesses.

Fun fact: Ted and LeAnn are proud parents of five kids and doting grandparents to nine grandchildren, with one more on the way!

Chelsea Mendez: HR Assistant & Office Assistant

Chelsea graduated in 2020 from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration. After earning her degree, she began her career as an educator, first serving as a teacher’s assistant at Grandview High School before taking on a fourth-grade teaching position at Keene ISD. While she cherished her time with the students, Chelsea ultimately decided it was time for a change and took an HR internship with Chuck E. Cheese Entertainment.

Now, as an HR assistant for Champion Truck Conversions, Chelsea is thrilled to dive deeper into the trucking industry and human resources. She’s excited about this new chapter and eager to contribute to the growth of Champion Truck Conversions.

Outside of work, Chelsea is always on the go. She balances life with her husband, two Australian Shepherds, two sugar gliders, and a baby on the way. Her hobbies include traveling, camping, hiking, reading, baking, and working out, making for a vibrant and active lifestyle!

Brent: Shop Manager & Welder

Brent has been an integral part of Champion Truck Conversions since 2020, quickly establishing himself as a dedicated and hardworking member of the team. He consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to getting the job done right. With a go-getter attitude and remarkable initiative, Brent is someone you can always count on—he’ll never need to be asked twice to complete a task.

Although he has only been welding for nine years (four of which have been professional), his exceptional skill and craftsmanship make it hard to believe he hasn't been in the field for decades. Brent’s natural talent shines through in every project he undertakes.

Always eager to grow, Brent strives to advance not only his professional skills but also his personal and spiritual development. A God-fearing man, he approaches his work with passion and dedication, making a positive impact both in the workplace and beyond.

Eric: Supervisor, Welder, & Mechanic

Although Eric has been with Champion Truck Conversions for just two years, he has known Ted Meredith since he was five years old. Having worked alongside Ted throughout his life, Eric feels truly blessed to be part of the Champion family.

At the age of 21, Eric earned his welding license and spent three years welding for the railroad before transitioning to a role as a diesel mechanic. His diverse experience brings invaluable skills to the team.

Eric is a devoted family man, happily married with four amazing kids whom he adores.

Fun fact: He has a passion for darts and has been honing his skills for the past 19 years!
